Unsubscriptions

Providing users with the option to unsubscribe from mailing lists is key to preserving a good standing in the world of email marketing.

Import Unsubscribed Users

If you've previously used another platform for email marketing, you likely have a list of users who have opted out of your mailing list. You can import that list into cc.dev to ensure those users are not emailed again.

1. Export the list of unsubscribed emails as a CSV from the previous email marketing platform.
2. Open the CSV to confirm there is an email column.
3. Navigate to the Data page on cc.dev.
4. Click Import from CSV in the last section titled Unsubscribed users.
5. The system will scan the CSV file and add the emails to your list of unsubscribed users.

Unsubscribe Link

To include an unsubscribe link in your email template, insert [[unsubscribe]] at the desired location. For more information, refer to the email template variables documentation.

When a user clicks the unsubscribe link, they'll be directed to a page where they'll be automatically unsubscribed from all future emails from your account. Although you can reverse their unsubscription on the Data page, it is generally not advisable to do so.
